Our team

  • Nicoll Peracha

    Co-Executive Director

    Nicoll is an inspiring bridge builder with a focus on impact. She holds a law degree, and has over 25 years of work experience in the international non-profit sector, working primarily in magement with organizations like Doctors Without Borders.

    Since 2016 Nicoll has supported numerous organizations in their development. She played a substantial role in the rapid growth of ProVeg Netherlands, from a volunteer organization to a professional food awareness organization.

  • Blake

    Blake Hannagan

    Co-Executive Director

    Blake worked as a policy analyst in the energy sector evaluating energy efficiency and low-income energy assistance programs for utility companies and state governments across the United States. He also served as the Director of Research for the Profit for Good Initiative where he mentored volunteers researching the success of social movements and assisted with recruitment and strategic planning.

    Blake holds a master’s degree in Behavioral and Computational Economics.

  • Michelle

    Michelle Vellinga

    Chair Legal Board

    Michelle is a communications professional specialized in (digital) health. Her passion is to promote healthy behaviors through digital communication with the goal of a better life for people and animals.

    Michelle holds a Master's degree in Health Education & Promotion, has over 7 years of experience in communication & marketing in various health related companies, and now helps teams transform to omnichannel health marketing excellence in an international business environment.

  • Lauren Mee

    Vice-Chair Legal Board

    Lauren Mee is the co-founder of Animal Advocacy Careers.

    In her spare time, she also mentors people at Magnify Mentoring and previously in the FAST community. She is a strategic advisor to Tälist, the AVA summit and EACN.

    Prior to AAC she worked as a consultant at a global data intelligence organisation and volunteered for the Good Food Institute and The Humane League. She is also a qualified yoga instructor and proud doggy parent to a rescue dog from Romania.

    Katrina Sill

    Board Member

    Katrina Sill is an Associate Director for Innovation for Poverty Action's Right-Fit Evidence Unit. Within the human welfare space, she leads partnerships with a similar goal to The Mission Motor: building the capacity of funders and implementers to better use data to improve the cost-effectiveness of impactful interventions.

    Prior to joining IPA, she was the Impact Division Director at One Acre Fund Tanzania, where she led the applied research departments and she worked in international development and education programs.

    Katrina holds an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University and Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Communication.

  • Lauri

    Lauri van Oosterom

    Board Member

    Lauri is a historian with a green heart who enjoys the challenge of working with a group of people to find a suitable solution together. It is precisely by continuing to listen to each other and staying in conversation that we can learn a lot.

    Lauri has master's degrees in Dutch and Russian history, and completed several journalism and communication courses. She has extensive experience in writing content, organizing meetings and events, conducting research and implementing project management.

    Lauri volunteers for various animal welfare and sustainability organizations in the Netherlands.

    Jesse van Elzingen

    Board Member

    Jesse van Elzelingen holds a masters degree in Social and Organizational Psychology, studied Industrial Management, and recently specialized as an agile/scrum coach. Jesse has experience as a legal advisor for union members, and currently works as Operations Manager and Agile Coach at ProVeg Netherlands where he is a steady engine for improvement of organizational processes and a trusted mentor for employees and volunteers.

    Jesse strongly believes that people in general want to do the right thing, and that groups of people can achieve their ambitious goals if they are in the right environment.
